LAST RITES HELD AT CHAPEL HILL FOR R.B. COOK

Final rites were held at Chapel Hill church Wednesday, Dec. 25, at 2 p.m. for R.B. Cook, 85, well known resident of Attala Co. Services were conducted by the Rev. West, pastor of Ethel Methodist church. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Masonic rites at the grave. Lee-Craney Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cook, a prominent famer of North Attala, was a Mason & a member of the Methodist church. He was born & reared in this county & lived 52 years in Chapel Hill community. He was active in church & cummunity affairs as long as his health permitted. His death came after a long illness. His wife, Mrs. Mary Harvey Cook preceded him in death 7 1/2 years.

He leaves 6 sons, Clark Cook, French Camp; Erskine Cook, Kosciusko; Ernest Cook , Howell Cook, of French Camp Elmer Cook, Stewart; Bowie Cook , Kilmichael; 3 daughters, Mrs.Eva Veal, Mrs. Ella Watson, McCool; Orean Cook, French Camp; 19 grandchildren; 13 gr-grandchildren & other relatives.
