Clark, Ethe P., 86, of Shelby, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002 in Shelby. She was born July 19, 1916 in Ferry, the daughter of George W. and Martha (Foster) McLouth. She married Lester Clark Aug. 19, 1933. He passed away June 8, 2000. Mrs. Clark was a lifelong resident of Shelby and a member of the Shelby Seventh Day Adventist Church. She always had a large garden and took much enjoyment from gardening.
She is survived by her children, Arlene (Paul) Eilers, Arden (Maxine) Clark, Gary (Diane) Clark, and Mayme (Don) Wyns all of Shelby; her brother, Donald (Effie) McLouth of Montague; sisters-in-law, Irene Evans, and Susan (Joseph) Clevenger both of Shelby, Lucille McLouth of Whitehall, and Margaret McLouth of Hart; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark; grandsons, Gary Clark, and Daniel Eilers; brothers, Ervie, Burdette, Will "Bill", George, Alton, Lyman "Mike", and Edward "Pete" McLouth; and sisters, Maxine McLouth, Rachel McLouth, Millie Gale, Leila Anderson, Julia Adams, Evelyn McIntyre, and Kate Johnsen. Funeral service Friday, Sept. 27, 10:30 a.m. at Cooper-Harris Funeral Home, Shelby with Pastor Doug Carlson officiating.
