Former Alaskan Oren A. Diamond, 77, died June 28, at his home in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Born June 20, 1912, in Kansas, Idaho and Port Angeles, Wash., before moving to Alaska.
After arriving in Anchorage in 1939, Mr. Diamond joined the U.S. Army.
He became a member of the Masonic Order and Elks Lodge.
In 1947, he moved to Seldovia, where he became involved in the commercial fishing business. He owned several fishing boats, including the Esther D, the Polaris, the Richard D, Diamond D and Anna D.
He left Alaska in 1952 and moved to Santa Barbara, Calif., where he worked in the real estate field. He relocated to Twin Falls in 1983.
Surviving are three brothers, F.B. "Jack," of Anchorage, and Dick and Gail, both of Twin Falls; and his sister, Maudien Becker, ot Twin Falls.
The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Twin Falls Gun Club.
Cremation was under the direction of White Mortuary and Crematory, Twin Falls.
