Mrs. Mary Falwell Passes Away at Ripe Old Age.
Mrs. Mary Falwell died Sunday morning at the home of her son, W.R. Falwell, on Pope street, after having reached the ripe old age of 93 years, 5 months and 10 days.
Mrs. Falwell was the daughter of John and Polly Starr, and was born in Noble county, Ohio, July 16, 1818. In 1837 she was married to Ephriam Falwell and in 1844 went to live in Missouri. In 1854 the family moved to Kansas and here deceased lived until about one year ago, when she came to make her home with her son, W.R. Falwell.
Deceased was a woman of splendid traits of character and retained her faculties almost to the last of her long life. She leaves to mourn her departure four children—Mrs. Elizabeth Boyle, of Richland, Kansas; Mrs. Amanda Tutcher, of Spokane, Wash; Mrs. Emma Liebenberg, of Richland, Kansas; and W.R. Falwell, of St. Helena; also several grandchildren.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the Adventist church, Elder Robinson being the officiating clergyman, assisted by a choir from the Sanitarium.
