Dorothy G. BRECKER, 87, of 1528
Mineral Spring Road, died Friday
night in St. Joseph Medical Cen-
ter, where she had been admitted
earlier in the day.
She was taken to the hospital
from Demopolis Home, where she
had resided for about a month.
Her husband, Peter W. Brecker,
died in 1987.
Born in Reading, she was a daugh-
ter of the late Ralph H. and Mary
C. (Hoffmaster) Gilbert.
She had been employed by
Berks County for 10 years as a
deputy sheriff, retiring in 1962.
Surviving are a sister, Ivy
Gilbert Ziegler, Reading, and two
brothers, John W. Gilbert, Read-
ing, and Frederick Gilbert, Tempe,
Ariz.
Services will be Tuesday at 10
a.m. in Bean Funeral Home Inc.,
Reading. Burial will be in Aulen-
bach's Cemetery.
