Mrs. Florence Bridges, nearly 73, a seamstress, died Thursday about 6 a.m in a hospital at Mesquite. She moved from Paris three years ago. Her late husband was Johnny Bridges. Florence was the daughter of James Richard and Julia (Holt) Hargroves. Mrs. Bridges was born Jan. 13, 1893, in Lamar County, Texas. She leaves behind two children: Buster Bridges of Tyler, and Mrs. Lola Mae Preas of Dallas; four other descendants; a brother, Bobby Hargroves of Fresno, Calif., and three sisters; Mrs. Dovie Freeman of Pomona, Calif., and Mrs. E. C. Lane and Mrs. Johnny Towers of Paris. Services are Friday at 2 p.m., and will be held in Paris at Gene Roden & Sons chapel, burial to be made in Evergreen Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas.
