He was a son of Raymond Francis Cole and Blanche Anna (Baker) Cole.
He entered active service with the U.S. Navy on February 14, 1944 at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
He was stationed at Sampson, New York, he served aboard LST-530 and LST-157, and also aboard the U.S.S. Tabora (AKA-45) and also at Ft. Pierce, Florida.
He received his discharge from the Navy on May 4, 1946 at Bainbridge, Maryland.
He was originally from Biglerville, Pennsylvania.
He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on August 10, 1955.
