CECIL - Joseph Marvin, 77, of Louisville, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2009. He was a retired truck driver for Fabricated Metals, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a Kentucky Colonel. He loved to collect things and go to flea markets. Joe was a loving husband to Flossie; best daddy to Joseph M. Cecil, Jr., Mark D. Cecil and Kenneth Lynn Cecil (Tashua), Mary Ann Beck (Mark) and Debra Lee Gentry; loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one soon to be with us. He leaves sisters, Norma Shain and Betty Browning; brothers, Victor and Ernest Cecil; and many friends. Joe will be loved and missed by all. His service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church formerly St. Polycarp, 7718 Columbine Drive with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be noon - 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at the Hardy Valley Funeral Home.
