SYLVESTER R. JONES, 77, a retired
carpenter, died last night in the home
of his daughter, Mrs. Henry S. Feick Sr.
244 Linden St. A lifelong resident of
the city, Jones was a son of the late
Mr. & Mrs Sylvester* R. Jones. Before
retiring 15 years ago, he was employed
by George Derr, local contractor.
Jones was a member of the Luther-
an denomination, local 482 Carpen-
ter's Union and the United Worker's
Association. His wife, Eva (Neider)
Jones, died ten years ago.
Surviving are 4 sons: Paul R., Irvin L.,
George L., and Forrest C., all of Read-
ing ; three daughters: Mae, wife of Hen-
ry S. Feick Sr., with whom he resided,
Mrs. Elsie Clawges, and Eva, wife of
Peter Zackowski, all of Reading: 23
grandchildren , 12 great grandchildren,
and three half-brothers: George and
Harry Dries, both of Reading, and
Arthur Dries of Riverside, N.J.
Services Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in
the Cramp Funeral Home. Burial in
Alsace Cemetery.
