JUDGE GRAHAM OF MCRAE DEAD

McRae, Ga. August 25-Hon. E D. Graham,formely Superior Court Judge of the Oconee circuit, was one of the most prominent citizens in this section of the state, died last night.Judge Graham was at his home along at the time of his death,his son Harvey and his sister,Mrs W.C Sessoms, who live with him,being in Mountain City,Ga ,at this time.They, with another sister,Mrs A.C Darling,are expected to arrive,during the night.Judge Graham stated to some of his friends yesterday afternoon when he was down on the streets of the town that he was not feeling very well, but his sudden death during the night was wholly unexpected. When the cook called his for breakfast at about 7 o'clock, he did not respond and when she went in to awaken him,she found him dead in the center of his bedroom. It is believed that he had an heart attack when he went to retire before midnight. He had seeningly been in good health heretofore.Judge Graham served two terms as Judge of the Superior Court of the Oconee Circuit and previously had served as solicitor of the Superior Circuit of this district. He was a jurist of outstanding ability. He was was one of the wealthiest men in this section and had substantial properties in McRae, and Telfair, and Wheeler counties.Judge Graham was vice president of the Citizens Bank of McRae, and was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of the Methodist Church.The funeral will be held in McRae tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock. Interment will be in the McRae Cemetery.Judge Graham is survived by two sons, Whaley of Las Cruces, N.M, and Harvey,of McRae,one daughter, Mrs J. Gould Williamson of Eastman,Ga.his mother Mrs Adaline Davis,of Eastman,three sisters, Mrs W.C Sessoms,of McRae,Mrs W. P Cobb of Eastman,and Mrs A.C Darling, of Andalusia,Ala. one brother John Graham of Macon, and other relatives.
