Ada was one of five children born to James D. and Victoria A. Edge Smalley.

The other children were: Pluma G., Sallie E., Maudie and John Porter Smalley.

She married Joseph Daniel Westbrook, Sr. March 10, 1892 in Cherokee County, Alabama.

They had the following children: Alice Abigale, Leah Gertrude, Elbert Leroy, William Lester, Robert Norris, Joseph Daniel (J.D.), James Rufus (Jim), Marcus E., Odis F., Herschel Hugh and John Ernest Westbrook.

Mrs. Westbrook's Funeral Set Today

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Westbrook, 76, of Spring Garden, will be held this morning at 11 o'clock at the Lebanon Camp Grounds with the Revs. W.C. Nolen and Haden Gregg officiating.

Mrs. Westbrook, who for 65 years has been a member of the Spring Garden Methodist Church died Friday morning at 3:45 o'clock after an illness of approximately six years.

She is survived by eight sons, E.L. Westbrook of Piedmont, H.H. Westbrook of Spring Garden, W.L. Westbrook, also of Spring Garden; and R.N., J.R., O.F., and J.E. Westbrook of Detroit, Mich., and J.D. Westbrook of Centre; one daughter, Mrs. E.L. Stewart of Spring Garden; two sisters, Mrs. W.H. Davidson of Piedmont, Rt. 3, and Mrs. George Morrison of Crossville; 20 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Usrey of Piedmont will be in charge of arrangements.
