Services for Clement Douglas Roberts, 74, of Mesquite, TX., were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday December 13, 2011 at Eubank Chapel with Bro. Pat Cooper, Jr. officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mabank, Texas.
He passed away December 10, 2011 in Forney, TX.
Mr. Roberts was born March 24, 1937 in Dallas, TX, to Ernest Roy and Bessie Elizabeth Wheeler Roberts.
C.D. grew up in Seagoville where he went to school.
He was a member of the Balch Springs Church of Christ.
C.D. retired from the Post Office after several years of service. He loved to read and play 42 & bingo.
Clement was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joyce Roberts and brother, Reese Roberts.
He is survived by two daughters, Becky & Ronnie Smith of Forney, TX and Pam & Tom McClaughlin of Forney, TX., son, Paul & Beverly Roberts of Mesquite, TX, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and sister, Mary Elizebeth Watson. Pallbearers were Stephen Smith, Dwayne Henson, Devin Rothsback-Rawls, B.J. Cobb, Ryan Roberts, Chase Roberts.
