Henry S. Dorsett, 73, of Springville, passed away yesterday morning at 8:40 a.m. at Dunn Memorial Hospital where he was admitted last Saturday. The deceased has been in failing health for the past eight years and the final illness lasted three weeks.
Mr. Dorsett was born near Huron on March 3, 1877, the son of Clement & Charity E. Jones Dorsett. In 1923 at Louisville, Kentucky, he married Pearl Sipes, who survives.
Other survivors include one stepson, Richard Sipes, Cincinnati; two brothers, George Dorsett, Mitchell and James Dorsett of Orleans; one sister, Mrs. Julia York, Lawrence County and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dorsett attended the Springville Methodist Church.
Services will be Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Sherwood and Ferguson Funeral Home, where the remains will also lie in state after 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Interment will be in Springville Christain Cemetery.
