Ray A. "Bus" Wolfe, 81, of 200 N. Queen St., died at 2:41 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 1990, in Cumberland County Nursing home, Carlisle.

Born Nov. 2, 1908, in Shippensburg, he was a son of the late William and Bertha Davis Wolfe.

He was a retired road supervisor for Lurgan Township.

A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Wolfe was a member of Minnequa Social Club, Oscar M. Hykes Post 223 American Legion, AMVETS Post 222 and was a past commander of Durff-Kuhn Post 6168 Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an adviser for Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity at Shippensburg University.

His wife, Mary Wolfe, died in 1974.

Surviving are a foster son, Jack Campbell of Chambersburg; two foster grandchildren; three brothers, Elwood L., John L. and Lloyd R., all of Shippensburg; and five sisters; Gertrude Byers and Ann Frey, both of Shippensburg; Doris Yohe of Chambersburg; Nancy Groshek of Wellsville; and Helen Shellehamer of Carlisle.

Burial will be Saturday in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
