John first married Bertha G. Hubbard on March 7, 1900. From this union one daughter was born-Margaretha on Feb 6, 1901. They were divorced at some point.

John Flieman Sr., 85 of 2047 Lakeway, died Sunday evening at the home of his son, John Flieman Jr., 725 First Ave., after a short illiness.

Mr Flieman was born in Holland and had run a boat livery at Jenison Park for many years. He was a member of the South Shore Baptist Church., Mrs Flieman died on April 28, 1957

Surviving, besides the son John Jr., are three daughters. Mrs William (Marjorie) Kellogg of Detroit; Mrs Carl (Delia) Volkema of Holland and Mrs Vernon (Lillian) Cook of Ganges; 11 Grandchildren and nine great-grand children.

Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Langeland Funeral Home with Paster Bob Steward officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4:30 and 7 tp 9 p.m.
