Clifton H. McNatt, 80, of Elkton, Md., formerly of New Castle, Del., and Nottingham, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at his home.

He was the husband of the late Mary Lee Watson McNatt, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.
Born in Smyrna, Del., he was the son of the late David and Kathleen Shahan McNatt.

Clifton was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.

He was employed with the Army Corps of Engineers and later retired from the Teamsters Local #929 of New Castle, Del.

He was a life member of the VFW Post #8175, Elkton, Md., the Moose Lodge, the Sportsmen Association of Lancaster, and Croaking Frogs of Gap.

He is survived by former wife Marguerite Haynes of Elkton, Md.; his children, Mary Patrick and husband, Pete, of Elkton, Md., Jeannette Ham and husband, Barry, of Port Deposit, Md., Sharon McNatt of New Castle, Del., Diane McNatt of Annapolis, Md., Virginia Scafe and husband, Jerome Timothy, of Nottingham, Clifton McNatt Jr. and wife, Doreen, of Wilmington, Del., and Ernest McNatt Sr. and wife, Debborah, of Elkton, Md.; eight grandchildren, Anthony, Dianna, Reachelle, Christian, Jewel, Jerome Timothy II, Timothy and Ernest Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Homer McNatt and Warren (Buddy) McNatt; and two sisters, Grace Raspe and Helen Bayles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Harvey and Foster McNatt; and four sisters, Pauline Biddle, Eleanor Howell, Marie McNatt and Kathleen (Dolly) Pouska.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Edward L. Collins Funeral Home Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, where friends may call after 10 a.m.

Interment with full military honors will be in Fremont Cemetery, Nottingham.
