Feddrik Jans Zeinstra (became known as Fred Zeinstra when he came to the States) was born on 7 Apr 1862, in Tzummarum, Friesland, Netherlands (birth certificate number 72), the son of Jan Pieters Zeinstra en Grietje Feddriks Anema.

Emigrated to the USA from Rotterdam, Holland, through Ellis Island, New York, arriving on 26 Mar 1913, at the age of 50, aboard the ship Nieuw Amsterdam.

In 1920, Fred, his wife Akke "Agnes", and five of their children (John, Martin, Winnie, Clara, and Fannie) were living in Fountain Prairie Township, Pipestone County, Minnesota.

In 1930, Fred, his wife Agnes, and their grandson Gerrit were living in Fountain Prairie Township, Pipestone County, Minnesota.

Fred's death is recorded at Pipestone County Courthouse in book 1930, page 4, line 105. DC recorded father as John, mother as unknown, born in the Netherlands and occupation as retired farmer.
