Charlotte Virginia Thomas, age 78, of 454 Sandy Hook Road in Luray, Va., passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at Avante at Harrisonburg. Mrs. Thomas was born June 13, 1926, in Overall, Va., and was the daughter of the late Homer Isaac Burner and Anna Mae Foster Burner. She was a homemaker and a member of the Luray Christian Disciples of Christ and the John Rhodes Chapter of D.A.R. On Feb. 10, 1951, she married Samuel Henry Thomas, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Richard Burner Thomas and his wife, Patty Thomas, and Samuel Henry Thomas Jr., all of Luray; a daughter, Pat Ann Thomas of Charlottesville; and a grandson, Ryan Thomas of Luray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Earl Burner; a half brother, Clyde H. Burner, and three half sisters, Juanita Knight, Edith Yates and Carol Marie Burner. The Rev. Glenn E. Clements will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at the Luray Christian Disciples of Christ. Burial will be at Beahm s Chapel Cemetery in Luray. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.
