Kenny Dee Pendleton, 58, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2010.
Service: 1:30 p.m. Friday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Dido Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Kenny was born July 28, 1951, in Weatherford. He attended elementary and junior high schools in Southern California before returning to Texas. Kenny graduated from Haltom High School in 1969. Kenny played bass guitar in various bands and performed for many years at establishments in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Some considered him the best bass guitarist in the area. He was an avid collector of rare comic books and records. Kenny enjoyed reading and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Vollie George Pendleton; maternal-grandparents, Homer and Mary Rieves Young; and paternal-grandparents, Janie and Adrian Pendleton.
Survivors: Daughter, Claudia Hill and husband, David; grandchildren, Hayden and Keaton Hill; mother, Mary Evelyne Pendleton Maughan and stepfather, Hershel; sister, Bobbye Lynn Shire and husband, Gene; brother, Darryl Adrian Pendleton; and nephews, Kevin, Brad and Kurt Chalopiza.
