DEATH CLAIMS WALTER ALLEN

Walter E. Allen, 85, St. Paul, retired farmer and carpenter died at 8:55 a.m. today at the Conover Nursing Home in Morristown where he had been a patient three months. He had been ill the past year and seriously ill three weeks since suffering a stroke.
Services will be Thursday at the Carmony Funeral Home in St. Paul with the Rev. Bill Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Born in Coffee County, Kansas, November 16, 1884, Mr. Allen was the son of Steven and Franconia (Demoret) Allen. On March 2, 1904, he married Edna B. Adams and her death occurred March 22, 1963.
Survivors are one son, Cline E. Allen, Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Clay (Alberta) Johns, St. Paul and Mrs. James F. (Marian) Douglas R.R.4, Shelbyville; two brothers, Homer Allen, Greenfield and Paul Allen, Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. June Hurst and Miss Eulalia Allen, St. Paul; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A daughter and two sons preceded in death.
