Mr. Bailey was born in Glen Fork, WV and moved to Gainesville 45 years ago from Key West. He retired from the U.S. Navy and was an engineering supervisor at Malcolm Randall V.A. Medical Center. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.
He is survived by a son William Jeffrey Bailey, daughter Gloria Jean Hardee, grandchildren Angela, Dean, Tony, Angie, Tryus, Lila, Cedricka, and Latonya, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 1:00 Pm at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central, Chapel In The Meadows, 4100 NW 39th Ave., Gainesville, FL with Chaplain Glen Busby officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6-8 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave., Gainesville, FL. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home.
