Services for Essie Gilmore, Bloomington, who was stuck and killed by a train Tuesday morning, will be 2 p.m., Friday at Day Mortuary with the Rev. Kim Norris officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Born in Monroe County, she was the daughter of W. O. and Laura (Lentz) Branam. She was a member of the East 16th Street Pentecostal Assembly.
Survivors include two stepsons, Reid Gilmore and Ross Gilmore, both of Marion; two sisters, Bessie Branam of Bloomington and Doris Braden of New Albany; one grandchild and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James N. 'Newt' Gilmore; one daughter, Vivian Gilmore; two stepsons, Charles Gilmore and John Gilmore; and one grandchild, Deborah Gilmore. Friends may call 2-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
