Transferred March 2, 1918, to Company D, 118th Machine Gun Battalion, then to Machine Gun Company, 330th Infantry. He saw then transferred to Company B, 105th Machine Gun Battalion, 27th Division, in France. Returned to the States, March 6, 1919, docking in Hoboken NJ. He marched in the " Welcome Home Parade ", for the 27th Division, up 5th Avenue, in New York City, March 25, 1919. Discharged from the Army, April 5, 1919.
