Meriam Josephine Sparks, a former resident of San Bernardino, died March 26, 1985 in Oxnard at the age of 61. She was born in Paintsville, Kentucky and had lived in San Bernardino for a number of years. She was a housewife and had belonged to the Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary Oxnard Lodge No. 561, Academy of Friendship and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and was a navy veteran herself. She was a longtime CB'er and was survived by her husband, Julius Sparks, Jr., sons, Ronald of San Bernardino and Donald of Charleston, South Carolina, a daughter, Madonna Hilton of Oxnard, brother, John W. Adams of Ashland, Kentucky and a sister, Beatrice Nelson of Beckley, West Virginia and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday at Montecito Memorial Park Chapel with the Rev. Keith McGee officiating.
