She worked at Scott Lumber Co. and Campbell's Soup Co. She was substitute clerk at the DuBois Post Office until she became the postmaster. She worked there for 36 years. She enjoyed nature, bird watching, gardening, canning and lots of flowers. She loved to knit, sew and quilt.
