Obituary of Claude Notestine
From the Ingalls Advocate
Claude Notestine was born November 11, 1884, at Burlington, Texas, and died at his home near Charleston, Kansas, August 5, 1029, as the result of an automobile accident; age 25 years, 8 months and 24 days.

Deceased came to Kansas 16 years ago, and has made his home in this state ever since. He served abut four months in 10th Division U.S. Infantry, Camp Funston. He leaves to mourn his death a stepfather, a mother, nine sisters, and three brothers, beside a host of friends, with whom the Advocate joins in expressing condolence to the bereaved family, in this their hour of sorrow.

Interment was made in the Burdett Cemetery at Charleston (sic), where he rests bedside a brother, who sacrificed his life in the service of his country. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Gale of Ingalls, at Charleston, Kansas.
