Fallen Asleep - Mrs. Mary Jones, wife of Thos. Jones, at their home west of town, departed this life July 23, 1907, aged 64 years. Her husband, five sons, three daughters, one brother and several grandchildren survive her. She was a devout member of the Baptist church. She had been a great sufferer for many years and to her death was the golden key that unlocks the palace of eternity. The funeral services were held at the home conducted by Rev. John Dyer, in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing friends and neighbors, after which the body was laid to rest in Harrisonville cemetery.
