Overseer of Grey family manors in Northern England and Ireland. Traveled often to Ireland. His brother Leonard was Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. His sister Elizabeth Grey Fitzgerald lived in Ireland with her husband Gerald Fitzgerald, and his brother John Grey also had a manor in Ireland. In 1525 Richard left London for Ireland, but he never returned home. He is presumed to have died while in Ireland.
