Emery David Allen, 75, passed away at 4 p.m., August 23. at the Albright Nursing Home, where he had been a patient since June.
He was born in Putnam County, Missouri, June 13, 1886, the son of Charles and Lucinda Dodge Allen. He was married to Jessie Aitkens who survives. Four daughters, four sisters, a step-mother (Mrs. Rebecca Allen of Unionville, Mo.), two half-brothers, and a half-sister also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. He was a long time member of the Cincinnati Christian Church.
The body is at the Miller-Wehrle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held from the East Pleasant Street Christian Church in Cincinnati, Friday at 2 p.m. Rev. Lyle Armstrong of Clarence, Mo. will officiate with burial in the Union Cemetery near Coatsville, Mo.
