Brandi A. Griffin, 18 of Galena, passed away Saturday afternoon February 20, 2010 at her residence.

She was born on February 12, 1992 in Columbus to Lori (Philibin) and Erin Scott Griffin.

Brandi was a candidate for graduation with the Class of 2010 from Big Walnut High School where she was in the National Honor Society, participated in Big Walnut FCA, and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. A cheerleader in her freshman and sophomore years she was also active in track and tutoring students at Harrison Street School. Brandi was active for many years in gymnastics taking 1st place in trampoline and tumbling at the Nationals and participating on the 2004 Junior Olympics Team.

Shopping and being with her friends were among some of her favorite things to do along with enjoying the sun and swimming. She had been accepted at the University of Hawaii, University of Kentucky and Ohio University and was considering psychology as a major. She also volunteered at the Delaware County Humane Society.

Brandi is survived by her mother: Lori Philibin of Galena; father: Erin Scott Griffin of Columbus; brothers: Eric and Joe Griffin of Columbus; grandparents Helen Philibin and Jean and Jessie Griffin of Columbus; aunts, uncles, cousins; boyfriend Corey Pace; best friend: Samantha Ballog and many friends.
