Joseph Dean Turner, 50, of Route 4, Athens, died Wednesday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Sardis Springs Baptist Church with Calvin Inman officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Turner was a self-employed contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Rena Corley Turner; a son, Walter Bryan Turner of Athens; his mother, Jane Rose Turner of Athens; and a sister, Sylvia Turner Lentz of Rogersville.
