Services for Mrs. Stanley (Betty J.) Swanson, 47, 612 Verges Ave., Norfolk, will be conducted Sunday at 2 pm at the Howser Mortuary. The Rev. R.L. Jobman, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will lie in state Saturday from 3 to 9 pm at the Howser Mortuary. Mrs. Swanson, who had not been well for some time, died Thursday evening at Clarkson Hospital, Omaha. The former Betty J. Negley, was was born Aug. 17, 1929, to Mr. and Mrs. Alvin E. Negley and was a lifetime resident here. She married Stanley Swanson Jan. 24, 1954, in Norfolk. Mrs. Swanson is survived by her husband; one son, Randy, a student at Northeast Technical Community College; and two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Patsy) Bathke of Livermore, Calif., and Mrs. Elwin (Mary) Glover of Lincoln. Mrs. Swanson was preceded in death by her parents.
