Harry C. Allard, 85, prominent Citizen of the Noble community, passed away Saturday Night, August 23, 1969 at the Richland Memorial Hospital, following a long period of ill health.

A lifelong resident of the county, Mr. Allard was born the son of Sylvanus Allard and Hanna E. Brown Allard.

He had been a rural mail carrier out of the Noble Post Office for 38 years and was retired in 1944. He was a long time member of the Noble United Methodist church. Mr. Allard was also a member of the Noble Masonic Lodge.Always an active member of the community, Mr. Allard became one of the most respected citizens of this area.

He was married to Ethel Howe on February 7, 1910. She survives him.

Also surviving are two sons; Berlin Allard of Brookfield and Gordon Allard of Noble. There are 2 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He also has two brothers and a sister; Reuben Allard of Noble, Clarence Allard and Mrs. Clara Ewing, both of Bridgeport.

Funeral services for Mr. Allard will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers-Rainey Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Brown Officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Garden Section of Haven Hill Cemetery.
