Thomas A. Negley, 62, former Chicago and Northwestern Railway company, 407 Blaine street, died at 12:10 o'clock Thursday morning at his home following a lingering illness. He was born to Mr. & Mrs. Dave Negley on Feb. 6, 1882 at Decatur, Ia., and was married June 10, 1903 to Miss Martha Bentz of Scribner. There were the parents of three sons. The Negley family moved to Norfolk in 1916, and four years later he bagan working for the maintenance of way department of the Northwestern Railway company. He also followed the carpenter trade. Surviving are his wife, three sons, Byron, SC 1/c, wo arrived in Norfolk a few days ago from after being in the service in the Southwest Pacific; Clyde and Alvin; four grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.
