(1932 - 2010)
Alice J. Burdick, age 77, a Mishicot resident, entered into eternal rest Friday evening, Feb. 19, 2010, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Seymour, to the late Oscar and Helen Fuller Jesse and has been a resident of the area since 1956. She married Paul Burdick on June 23, 1951, in Sturgeon Bay. Alice was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot. She enjoyed watching "Knots Landing" with her friends, and also the "Danny O'Donnell Show." She also enjoyed making ceramics, knitting, crocheting, and visiting the casinos. Alice loved her dogs, Rebel and Tina.
Alice is survived by her loving husband Paul; five daughters and four sons-in-law: Wendy and Dean Lester, of Tisch Mills, Sue and Robert Cherney, of Mishicot, Donna and Jim Flessert, of Two Rivers, Linda and Russell Olp, of Two Rivers, Rachel Burdick, of Two Rivers; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Alvin and Katie Jesse, of Algoma. She is further survived by a brother-in-law: Gary Weber, of Green Bay; three sisters-in-law: Harriet Shaw, of Florence Mass., Pauline Graycarek, of Two Rivers, Louise Prokash, of Green Bay; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by an infant granddaughter; two sisters: Ruth (Jerry) Poehls, Doris Weber; a brother: Terry Jesse; a brother-in-law: Edward P. Shaw; and three sisters-in-law: Virg (Arwed) Wolter, Ethel Heuer, and Anna Burdick.
Private family funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at the Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Wisconsin 310, in Manitowoc, with the Reverend Robert Johannes officiating, with burial in the Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot assisted the Burdick family with arrangements.
The Burdick family would like to thank Dr. Gahl, and Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice, with special thank yous to RN Barb S.W. Nicole and Chaplin Elaine for their special love, care and concerns shown to Alice during her illness. Your kindness will always be remembered.
