Friday services for Benton truck driver
Glenn A. Farver Jr., 64, County Line Road, Benton, died early Tuesday morning, May 6, 2008, at the Bloomsburg Hospital, where he had been admitted on Monday.
Born Sept. 13, 1943, in Kingston, he was a son of the late Glenn A. Farver Sr. and Ruth C. (Lamoreaux) Farver.
Mr. Farver had worked as a truck driver for L&K Mills and Bloomsburg Cement Co. He had also worked for the former Benton Wood Products Co. years ago. He was currently employed part time by Century Security at Wise's in Berwick.
He was a social member of the Benton VFW and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Millville.
Surviving, are his wife, Sharon J. (Wolfinger) Farver, whom he married on Dec. 9, 1989; four children: Glenn A. Farver III of Orangeville; Cindyann Robbins and her husband, Dean, of Millville; Steve W. Farver and his wife, Michelle Ann, of Unityville; and Kimberly Stackhouse and her husband, Frank, of Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Gail A. Farver, of Benton; and four stepchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Ruthann Farver, in infancy; and by a half brother, Sidney Farver, on Feb. 19, 1999.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at McMichael Funeral Home Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton. Burial will be in the Raven Creek Cemetery. The viewing is Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the family.
