Ruby Fowler Adair, died Thursday, November 15, 1984, in Spartanburg General Hospital.

A native of Spartanburg County, SC; daughter of Ferdenand Fowler (1870-1931) and Lola Fowler Fowler (1882-1996); wife of Manciel Collins Adair, Sr. (1894–1966).

A member of Peach Valley Baptist Church; retired from Clifton Manufacturing.

Survivors include her sons, Manciel Collins Adair, Jr. (1930–2013) and Bennie L Adair (1933–2010); stepdaughter, Victoria Phillips; sisters, Lillie Mae Fowler Brown (1903-1992), Nellie Fowler Allen (1919-2001), and Ruth Fowler Burch Gilbert (1920-2015); brothers, Jack Fowler (1914-1994), George Fowler (1916–1997), and Art Fowler (1922–2007); three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Also predeceased by siblings, Jesse Peter Fowler (1898–1973), Clarence Fowler (1907-1963), Frank Fowler (1910-1966).

Services were held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 17, 1984, at Peach Valley Baptist Church by Rev. George Holland and Rev. Ronnell Owensby; burial in Sunset Memorial Park.

The family received friends from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, Friday, November 16, 1984, at J.F. Floyd Mortuary, Greenlawn Chapel.
