David L.H. Christman, 54, 1745 S. Wabash St., died at 9:21 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at Wabash County Hospital.
Mr. Christman was born on Jan. 15, 1950, in Wabash, the son of Ralph H. "Hank" and Helen M. (Abshire) Christman. Both parents preceded Mr. Christman in death.
A lifelong Wabash resident, Mr. Christman was a former Wabash City Police officer. He graduated from Wabash High School in 1968, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include a son, Matthew David Christman, Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Theresa Marie Christman, Battle Ground; a brother, Steve (Terri) Christman, Wabash; two sisters, Karen (Dave) Ponder-Beghtel, Wabash, and Diane (Rod) Songer, Wabash; a niece, Jennifer (Tom) Charkut, Littleton, Colo; and a nephew, Jonathon Ponder, Wabash.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Falls Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 3 p.m. at the home of Rod and Diane Songer. Preferred memorials are to the Wabash County Cancer Society, and may be made in care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Eddingfield Chapel, 231 Falls Ave. McDonald Funeral Home, Eddingfield Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
