Born July 1, 1916 in St Charles, Clarion County, he was a son of the late Jerry M and Rosetta (Crisswell) Bailey.
He married Ruth Anna McKinley on October 1, 1939, she survives.
Vyron was a member of the Oakland Church of God in Distant. He was a U S Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Bailey was a machinist until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Kevin P Bailey of Hilliard, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Karla) Weaver of Kittanning and Kleta Bailey of Shrewsbury; two granddaughters and a number of nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are two brothers, Ben Bailey of New Bethlehem RD 2 and Tim Bailey of New Bethlehem RD 1; and three sisters, Betty DeBlasio of Seminole, Ann Coward of Freeport and Connie Salvadori of Seminole.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Vyron Bailey Jr. and Daniel Lee Bailey; two sisters, June Early and Barbara Bailey; and three brothers, Milford 'Bud' Bailey, William Bailey and Paul Bailey.
Funeral services were held at 11 am Saturday in the Charles D Alcorn Funeral Homeat Hawthorn, with the Rev. Clarence E Dillon, pastor of Oakland Church of God in Distant, officiating.
Interment followed in the family plot in Oakland Cemetery at Distant.
