Mary Hardin Taylor, 89, of Charlotte, formerly of Ellerbe, died July 6, 2004, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Mary Hardin-Taylor was the wife of John Marion Taylor. John Marion is the son of Rosa Lee McPhail and Henry Taylor, III. Henry Taylor was the son of Susan Ivey and Henry Taylor, Jr. Henry Taylor was the son Jennet Cook and Henry Taylor, Sr. of Robeson County, North Carolina.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Carter Funeral Home, the Rev. Eugene McNair officiating. Burial will follow at Ellerbe Cemetery.

Surviving are three sons, Richard Taylor and Tom Taylor, and John Marion Taylor Jr. six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
