Mrs. Hattie Harpster

BELLE CENTER - Mrs. Hattie Anna Harpster, 64, of Rt. 1, died at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday in St. Rita's Hospital where she had been a patient since Jan. 5.

Born Nov. 8, 1899, in Hardin County, she was a daughter of John and Stella (Hill) Lowrie. In 1925, she married Russell C. Harpster who survives. Mrs. Harpster was a lifetime resident of the Roundhead area.

Also surviving are two sons, Myron Earl of Harrod and Norman K. at home; two sisters, Miss Hazel Lowrie of 1824 University Blvd., Lima and Mrs. Roger (Helen) Downing of Columbus; six granddaughters. A sister, Bessie Mae Lowrie, died in 1962. Two brothers, Earl and Clark Lowrie, are also deceased.

Mrs. Harpster was a member of Roundhead Methodist Church.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Roundhead Methodist Church, Roundhead, with Rev. Byron Burke officiating. Burial will be in Roundhead Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at noon Friday. Friends may call at Swope Funeral Home, Belle Center.
