Clifford L. Adcock, age 56, former Eldon resident, died at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at the home of his uncle, W.E. Granstaff of Cedar City, Mo. Mr. Adcock had gone from his home in Kansas City to Cedar City a week ago for a visit and suffered a heart attack as he was waiting for a taxi cab to take him to the railroad station for the trip home. He had not been well for the past three years.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon at the Phillips Funeral Home. Rev. A.L. Alexander conducted the service and burial was made in the Dooley Cemetery.

Clifford Lunday Adcock was born in Miller County, Missouri, June 30, 1890. He was the son of Lunday and Lucy Granstaff Adcock.

On August 26, 1926, he was married to Ethel Davidson of Eldon. Mr. Adcock resided in Eldon until four years ago, when he moved his family to Kansas City. Mr. Adcock had been a member of the Green Ridge Baptist Church since he was 15 years old.

Besides his wife, Ethel E., he is survived by one daughter, Beulah Mae, and one son, Richard Lee, both of the home; a brother, Greene Adcock of Kansas City, Kans., and his uncle W.E. Granstaff of Cedar City also survive.
