Note from Gloria on 8 Feb 2014: contacted my cousin Selena and she has a letter written by Billy home to his wife in the civil war... His middle initial is T.. his cousin had them put the S on the stone... I am sorry if there is any confusion on this matter... In the letter he states he has 3 children, Mary, Andrew and Louisa... He ask that they write to him... So any other children belong to another William... Thank you. Gloria

I appreciate the work you have done to bring so much precious information to families all over. I have seen Billy's grave (William's) in person back in the early 90's. He is buried by his wife Elizabeth and she has her 2nd husband Wm. Roberson on the other side, if my memory serves me correctly.

My question to you is who is the source for the information attached to his 'record' that lists 2 families? Neither family group matches the information on my gr. gr. grandfather's grave. He died when he was 37 years old. I actually have a letter written in his own hand where he lists his 3 children in 1865 and a copy of his marriage certificate in 1858. I would be happy to share this information with whomever (and I assume they are related to me in some way) if I knew who they are. And I would like to correct the information attached to his grave record if possible. I hope you can help me. Thank you again so much for all you do :) [email protected];
