YEAKLE-NEW, Sandra Marie Psalms 116:15, Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Sandra Marie Yeakle-New born September 29th, 1952 to the late William and Wanda Root-Yeakle. Sandy was survived by her husband, Martin New, daughters, Angie Baker (Rick) and Andrea House (Rob), granddaughter, Emily Jeter, sister, Marcia Yealke Waddle (Dave) nephews, Bill Schmidt (Mandy), Jon Waddle, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Sandy was an active member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Monticello, Ky, assisted in a Mission of recovery after Hurricane Katrina and always volunteered at church activities. Sandy was a member on the Board for the Habitat of Humanity and an avid worker in rebuilding houses in Monticello, Ky and Louisiana. Sandy was in the last graduating class of Seven Mile High School. She then furthered her education by obtaining her realtors license. After falling in love with Lake Cumberland in Ky, she became a bus driver for Talawanda City Schools in order to spend her summers at the lake. This permitted her to utilize the school season to assist Bunker Hill Group Home, providing delicious desserts for the boys during the holidays. Sandy lived life to the limits accepting every challenge that crossed her path. Sandy valued her family and friends. Sandy and Marty would easily make friends and after retiring to Monticello, Ky found a great church and lake family which she held dear to her heart. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 1, 2010 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Tommy Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the Hospice of Cincinnati, Hamilton Division. The family will accept condolences at www.avancefuneralhome.com
