John Cook, 60, of 2054 Center Ave. died Wednesday at 2:35 p.m. at Alliance City Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born Sept. 20, 1913 in Lisbon, he had been in this area most of his lifetime. He was the storekeeper at the Morgan Engineering Co.
Mr. Cook attended the Catholic Church and was a member of Christopher Columbus Lodge and Disabled American Veterans. He served with the U.S. Army during the World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Freola Cook, four sisters, Mrs. Mary DeGirolamo of Canton, Mrs. Tony (Jennie) Vizzuso, Miss Rose Cook, Mrs. Josephine Gline, all of Alliance; two brothers, Anthony of Louisville and Fred of Alliance and several nieces and nephews.
