Clarence E. Mastin, 84, 148 New St., Galesburg, died Sunday afternoon, Nov. 15, at Provincial House in Battle Creek, where he had been a patient since May. Mr. Mastin had been in failing health since 1974. He was born in Galesburg, Sept. 26,1897 and had lived in Scotts for 32 years, returning to Galesburg a year ago. He had worked as a cabinet maker for Taylor Lumber Co., retiring in 1974. He is survived by his wife, the former lola M. Yoey; several nieces, nephews and many cousins. Funeral services were held at the Hoag-Switzer Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Grubaugh, Galesburg United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Galesburg.
