Died evening June 29, 2005. Iola was born July 29, 1921 in Augusta, Michigan a daughter of LaVerne and Bessie (Salyer) Yoey. She had been a lifelong Galesburg area resident and was employed with the Galesburg Lauderite for over 30 years, retiring in 2001. She was also a member of the Galesburg United Methodist Church where she served as a greeter for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Mastin in 1981; and 3 brothers. She is survived by a sister, Rowena Moon of Charlotte, MI; a sister-in-law, Marian Yoey of Battle Creek; her special caregiver, Kathy Claxton of Battle Creek; her best friend, Elizabeth Becker of Galesburg; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 1 o'clock at the Galesburg United Methodist Church, 111 West Battle Creek Street. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 West Battle Creek St. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
