Clara M Brody, 88, died on June 3, at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley. Funeral services were held on June 5 at the United Methodist Church in Sibley with Rev. Robert Crandall officiating. Burial was in the Ocheyedan Township Cemetery under the direction of Walton Funeral Homes.
Clara was born on Dec. 20, 1892, in Ocheyedan, the daughter of Charles and Lavina Brand Moar. She was married on June 1, 1918 at Allendorf to Gordon J Brody. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, president of the Women's Missionary Society and a Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon; one son, Donald, of Bigelow, Minn., three daughters, Joycelyn May (Mrs. Leonard Deaver) of Knoxville, Iowa; Darlene Rose (Mrs. Ray Alexander) of Ocheyedan and Roberta Jean (Mrs. Dennis Truckenmiller of Sibley; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters; Ruth Ling of Burley, Idaho and Angie Ebert of Round Lake, Minn.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and four sisters.
