William married Eliza Poyser (daughter of Joseph Poyser, Jr. and Martha Magdalena Reed) in June of 1853. They had one daughter named Elizabeth (b. 1858) who married a Henry Numan of Canton, Ohio. This daughter was their only living issue in 1922. He preceded his wife in death and she remarried.
