Of some note, she was the mother of Hon. Samuel William Smith, the Representative in the US Congress from Michigan's 6th district for years 1897-1914.
She married Nicholas B. Smith in Independence Twp. on Feb. 13th, 1845, and was the mother of two children:
1. Ann Eliza Smith, b. 22 Aug 1847 (Mrs. Lawrence C. Clark)
2. Samuel William Smith, b. 23 Aug 1852
She died at the young age of 26...
